About Us
Dawn on the Amazon
Butterfly Farm, Padre Cocha Pottery, and Bora Village.
The #1 day trip in Iquitos, full day, 9 a.m. 5 p.m.
You will be escorted by a trustworthy

spree to the Belen Market.
Together we will choose the
ingredients for our exotic culinary
picnic lunch, like none you have
ever had before. My boat, Dawn on
the Amazon, will meet us at the
bottom of the Belen Market in the
Port of Venice. We will cruise
upstream on the Itaya River, to a peaceful place that I know for our
picnic. Then we will take a leisurely cruise past the floating village of
Belen, Venice of the Amazon, down the Itaya in front of the city of
Iquitos and her busy ports, past ships, boats of all sizes, full of
bananas and charcoal, tugs, barges, colectivos, peque-peques, and
fishermen in dugout canoes. We will see and photograph giant logs
timbered from virgin rainforest, watch for pink dolphins at the
confluence of the Itaya and the mighty Amazon, cruise downstream
on the mightiest river on earth, to the Nanay River, with another good
chance to see dolphins, up the Nanay to the Hunting and Fishing Club
to tour one of the most beautiful, artistic boats in the entire Amazon
watershed, and swim, canoe, or relax until near dark. I guarantee this
to be a fascinating, full day of fun.

Giant Anaconda, Hike along the Amazon River
  • Bi-lingual escort in our boat, Dawn on
    the Amazon.
  • Two hour cruise downstream on the
    Amazon River.
  • Watch for pink dolphins, wildlife.
  • Stop at Caiman Farm, and/or Paca Farm.
  • Private zoo, handle boas, monkeys,
    sloths, ocelot, coati, etc.
  • If you dare, attempt to hold the giant
    anaconda, 18 feet, 400 pounds.
  • Enjoy a picnic lunch on the boat.
  • Easy two hour hike along the bank of
    the Amazon. Great for bird watching.
  • If you do not feel like hiking, ride the boat to the pick up in
    Barrio Florido.  
  • Visit with ribereño tending their banana, papaya, and yucca
    gardens.
  • Cruise upstream to the Hunting and Fishing Club to swim,
