I became interested in tagua about 10 years or so ago while living in Ecuador when we were at a beach on a holiday vacation and had an artisan come up with a few pieces of carved tagua nut animals (bought a few that day) and was hooked. Came back to live in the U.S. and started a website business selling mainly tagua nut beads and carry some whole nuts for customers like you who are into carving.
