Hello fellow bloggers, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself, my name is Alan Sinfield. Some of you I know well and consider close friends, some of you know of me and me you and others I do not know at all (in some such case thank Augustus). I have been visiting Iquitos for over 13 year now and absolutely love the city and people. Over the years, I have done my best to help the locals and tourism alike. I am a proud sponsor of the Amazon Golf course (as it stands today). This is my first entry in the blog although I have been following the activity for sometime now. I am not entrenched in the politics of golf course, I am not involved in the courtroom situations in fact, I do not even play golf. I find it somewhat a shame that former friends, who collectively had the vision to make such a wonderful dream, come true and build a golf club in the middle of the jungle, are no longer friends. I have visited the club and it is just fantastic, you can read my account regarding my first visit to the club at http://amazongolfcourse.com/. Those golfers out there who have never been to Iquitos before, but might be thinking of coming, I strongly suggest you bring your clubs…you will not be disappointed. To those of you reading the activity on this blog it should become quickly apparent and quite transparent who stands for helping tourism and promoting the golf club and those who have selfish ulterior motives. Bill Grimes and Mike Collis are two of the most honest unselfish individuals around, read their comments and stack them up against some of the moronic comments on the blog

Mike,
What do I say? Has someone asked for "amnesty"? Has anyone said they were wrong or sorry? I always forgive anyone that says they are sorry for doing me wrong and tries to make restitution.

Mike,
In my comment 379 and your 380, we reference those who were, perhaps, misguided. We do know, however, as you injected, some other than the "gang of three" knew what the "coupe" meant to the disenfranchised members. As such, therefore, I suggest strongly that each of those to whom you refer be taken on a case by case basis. I have usually been somewhat of a forgive and forget type. But I also believe that a getaway car driver may not have performed the deed of bank robbery, but if the robbery was a success, was glad to spend the stolen loot. Does that mean that none of those so called "members" of the fraudulent club were duped? No. Some were, yet some were very aware, as you stated in your post 380. Case by case is my vote.
